An Alpha-level upstream service can support cPanel, WHM reseller and Master Reseller products, but headline “unlimited” allowances should not replace real capacity monitoring.
Step by step
- Track total disk actually consumed by all direct and downstream accounts.
- Track counts of cPanel, reseller and Master accounts so unusual growth is visible.
- Keep a reserve rather than selling until the server is effectively full.
- Watch support volume and performance as well as storage; operational capacity can become constrained first.
- Have a plan for adding/moving upstream capacity before growth reaches a critical threshold.
Important
Unlimited commercial wording normally remains subject to physical infrastructure and acceptable-use constraints. HostLaunch packages should therefore use sensible defined customer allowances.
Checks and troubleshooting
Review capacity monthly at minimum and more frequently during rapid sales growth. A simple spreadsheet/dashboard of actual use versus thresholds is better than relying on intuition.
