This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to all HostLaunch services, including Web Hosting, WordPress Hosting, Premium WordPress Hosting, Reseller Hosting, Email Services and Radio Hosting. Customers are responsible for activity through their account and, for reseller services, accounts they create or manage.
1. Lawful Use
Services may only be used for lawful purposes. You must not use a service for unlawful content or activity, fraud, scams, deceptive impersonation, phishing, credential harvesting or activity that exposes HostLaunch, its infrastructure or providers to legal or regulatory risk.
2. Security and Network Abuse
You must not distribute malware, viruses, ransomware or malicious code; attempt unauthorised access; probe or scan systems without permission; exploit vulnerabilities; interfere with networks; or participate in denial-of-service or distributed denial-of-service attacks. A compromised service may be restricted or suspended immediately while the risk is addressed.
3. Spam and Email Abuse
Unsolicited bulk email, spam, spamvertising, mail bombing, forged headers and abusive mailing practices are prohibited. Mailing lists must be permission-based and provide a reasonable unsubscribe mechanism. Customers must secure websites, scripts and mailboxes against unauthorised sending.
4. Proxies, Relays and Background Workloads
Shared hosting must not be used primarily as a public proxy, VPN, unauthorised relay, bandwidth-sharing service, download mirror, file distribution node, cryptocurrency miner or sustained compute platform. Background processes, scripts or automated workloads that materially disrupt shared infrastructure may be restricted.
5. Storage and Backups
Hosting is intended for websites and associated service data. It must not be used primarily for unrelated bulk storage, backup repositories, large archives, software/movie download repositories or file-sharing. See our Unlimited & Unmetered Services Policy.
6. Resource and Platform Abuse
Customers must not deliberately or persistently consume CPU, memory, processes, disk I/O, database capacity, traffic or other resources in a way that degrades service for others. Where a workload is unsuitable, HostLaunch may require optimisation, a move to a more suitable hosting plan or platform, migration, or cessation of the affected activity. Performance resources on fixed-specification plans are not individually upgradeable.
7. Reseller Responsibilities
Reseller Hosting customers are responsible for accounts they create and must take reasonable steps to ensure their own users comply with this AUP. Resellers must cooperate promptly with abuse investigations and action concerning a hosted account. Creating or moving accounts to evade a suspension or restriction is prohibited.
8. Intellectual Property
You must have the rights or permissions necessary for content you host, distribute or broadcast. HostLaunch may investigate valid copyright, trademark or other rights complaints and may restrict access or require removal where appropriate.
9. Radio Hosting
Radio Hosting customers are responsible for licences and permissions required for music, recordings and broadcasts. Listener, bitrate, storage and other plan limits must be observed, and services must not be used to circumvent those limits through unauthorised relays or similar techniques.
10. Email Filtering Services
Email filtering services must only be configured for domains and mail systems the customer owns, administers or is authorised to manage. They must not be used to intercept, redirect or interfere with third-party communications without authority.
11. Investigations and Enforcement
For non-urgent issues we will normally try to contact the customer and allow a reasonable opportunity to correct the problem. Depending on severity and recurrence, we may warn, restrict, suspend or terminate a service. Immediate action may be taken where necessary to stop abuse, respond to a security incident, protect infrastructure or third parties, or comply with a lawful or upstream network requirement.
12. Reporting Abuse
Suspected abuse may be reported using the details on our Contact page. Please provide enough information to identify and investigate the affected service.
13. Changes
We may update this AUP where reasonably necessary to reflect changes to services, infrastructure, security practices, upstream requirements or law. The current version and effective date will be published here.
