WHM is the management layer used by reseller customers to create and administer separate cPanel accounts. Each customer site should normally have its own cPanel account so files, email and quotas remain isolated.
Step by step
- Start by reviewing the reseller limits assigned to your WHM account.
- Create a small set of reusable hosting packages rather than entering limits manually for every customer.
- Use feature lists to control which cPanel tools each package exposes.
- Create customer accounts with the correct domain, username, contact email and package.
- Monitor account status, disk usage and bandwidth and keep your own billing records in sync with WHM.
Important
Your WHM access is permission-limited by the upstream provider. Some server-wide functions documented for root users will not be available to a reseller.
Checks and troubleshooting
When a menu is missing, first consider whether it requires a privilege your reseller account does not have. HostLaunch support can confirm upstream restrictions.
