cPanel is the control panel for an individual hosting account. From it you can manage website files, domains, email, databases, SSL and many day-to-day hosting settings. The exact icons you see depend on the features enabled for your package.
Step by step
- Sign in to cPanel from your HostLaunch service or control-panel login.
- Check the Domains area first so you know which domains belong to the account and where their document roots are.
- Use File Manager for website files, Email Accounts for mailboxes, and Database tools for application databases.
- Open SSL/TLS Status to check certificate coverage before forcing HTTPS.
- Review disk usage regularly so websites, mailboxes and backups do not unexpectedly fill the account.
Important
Do not change unfamiliar DNS, PHP or database settings simply because they are visible. Make one change at a time and keep a backup before destructive work.
Checks and troubleshooting
If a tool mentioned in a guide is missing, it may be disabled by the hosting package or feature list. Open a HostLaunch ticket with the account domain and the name of the missing tool.
